Pimento has a warm, sweet, and mildly spicy flavour that combines notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, earning it the common name “allspice.” The whole berries deliver a more complex, aromatic taste than the ground version and provide a gentle heat without overwhelming sharpness. For use in soups, gravies, stews and sauces.
